DOL coordinates for the placement of portable latrine services throughout the training areas, classrooms, and other installation facilities as required.  When placing requests provide location, number of personnel on site for training, dates services are required.  The ratio for requesting portable latrines is 30 personnel per unit for day training and 20 personnel per unit for Bivouac operations.  TTB Kelley has 15 units permanently assigned and does not need to be factored into the request.  From 15 October - 15 April submit a portable latrine request for 1200 area buildings as no indoor water will be available.

Training units are required to set up an Ice Contract for service in the training area.  DFAC ice machines are not authorized to support training events as they are not designed for large quantities of output.  Coordinate with DOL staff for Ice storage locations.  Management and distribution is managed by the training unit.

The ASP is staffed and equipped to handle Class V missions and is capable of storing all classes of ammunition and explosives. The ASP staff is available to assist with quality assurance and safety in the handling, storage and transport of all Class V materials.   The ASP is open Monday-Friday 0800-1600hrs. The billeting office is located in Building 4180 Connery Avenue, Camp Edwards, MA 02542.  The hours of operation are 0600-1600 Monday through Friday; weekend hours are dependent upon staffing availability.  Please contact the Housing Manager for weekend hours.

Barracks

2160 total barracks bed space comprised of 7 barracks with 288 beds and 1 barracks with 144 beds.  Bedrooms are comprised of 2 bunks (sleeps 4) or 2 individual beds (sleeps 2) with wall lockers and desks.  6 latrines and 6 shower rooms per building, 2 per floor, with a day room on each floor.  Laundry facilities are located on the first floor of each building.

Classroom, Administrative, and Supply Facilities

There are 23 classroom, 2 administrative and 4 supply facilities located in the 1200 block of the cantonment area of Camp Edwards.  All classroom and administrative facilities come with tables and chairs and some have latrines and Wi-Fi capabilities.  Please contact the Housing Manager at (339) 202 – 9317 for more information.

Laundry Facilities

Camp Edwards has one Laundry Facility (Building 5246) for use by units training at Camp Edwards and should be requested in RFMSS.  All barracks also contain a laundry room with 4 washing machines and 4 dryers.  Laundry soap and dryer sheets are for sale at the Coast Guard CX located on Lee Road in building 5203.
Appointments will be scheduled to draw barracks, classroom, administrative, supply buildings, and the laundry facility between 0800 – 1100 hours and 1230 – 1400 hours Monday through Friday.  Weekend appointments will be made on a case by case basis with the Billeting Office Housing Manager or DOL NCOIC.

410 beds located in 24 townhouses comprised of 102 individual units.  Bedrooms are comprised of either one queen bed, one twin bed or two twin beds.  All units have a full kitchen which includes a stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker.  All units also have a fully furnished dining area and living room with cable television and wireless internet.  The Distinguished Visitors Quarters is a three bedroom cottage (queen beds) with two full baths, dine in kitchen, living room, conference room, office, sitting area and porch. The DVQ has DirecTV without any internet capability.
Rates are currently $32 a night for queen beds and $27 a night for twin beds; rates are subject to change based on guidelines set forth in NGR 5-3-1.  The Billeting Office only accepts Visa, Mastercard and Discover as well as debit cards.  Cash, check and money orders are not accepted.

The Post Gym is located on Connery Avenue in Building 4180 and is available upon request for units.  The facility also has a weight room with strength equipment for personal use.  The weight room hours are 0600 to 1600 Monday to Friday and is open on weekends based upon staffing.
